The
Eagle Historical Society & Museums welcomes you to
the historic community of Eagle, Alaska located on the
Yukon River four air miles from the Canadian Border.
Nestled in the river valley with a close view of the Ogilvie mountains, it is often called the
'Jewel on the Yukon.' It can be reached by road, air and
water.
Established
in 1897 during the Klondike Gold Rush, the community
still provides visitors with the nostalgic atmosphere of
the early days when Eagle was the judicial, commercial,
mining and military center for the Upper Yukon. Your
visit to our unique community would be welcomed.
Don't
miss all the opportunities available for
VOLUNTEERS,
highlighted on the Programs page. |
